We spent a week at Barrio Vallarta and loved everything about it. First - the location is perfect. BV is less than two blocks from the beach and also a short walk to the Rio Cuale as well as many great restaurants and markets. Also, the restaurant on site - South of the Burger - has the best burgers I've come across in PV! Second - the rooms are fantastic and very well maintained. The beds are extremely comfortable, the suite is well furnished and the kitchen is well equipped. Cleaning typically happens every three days which I think is perfect. But if you want it to occur more often you can request it. Third - service is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. While they only speak spanish, this was never an issue as we used our translator app to communicate without any misunderstandings. The owners are also very communicative and attentive. Overall, this is the best place we have stayed at in Zona Romantica over the past several years.
Breakfast here was incredible. Try the tacos bocadillos or the rib eye taco plate with cheese & peppers. Not cheapest in PV, but absolute best tacos we've had so far.
What a great concept. An indoor facility with 3 food trucks back to back. Great drinks, great service. The most wonderful flank steak quesadilla around. Try it before the rest of the tourists discover this side street gem!
What else can I say. Great food, prices, and service. We've eaten here 4 times this month and will keep coming back.
